Quran 19:66. And the human being says, “When I am dead, will I be brought back alive?”
67. Does the human being not remember that We created him before, when he was nothing?
68. By your Lord, We will round them up, and the devils, then We will bring them around Hell, on their knees.
69. Then, out of every sect, We will snatch those most defiant to the Most Merciful.
70. We are fully aware of those most deserving to scorch in it.
71. There is not one of you but will go down to it. This has been an unavoidable decree of your Lord.
72. Then We will rescue those who were devout, and leave the wrongdoers in it, on their knees.
73. When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Which of the two parties is better in position, and superior in influence?”
74. How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who surpassed them in riches and splendor?
75. Say, “Whoever is in error, the Most Merciful will lead him on.” Until, when they see what they were promised—either the punishment, or the Hour. Then they will know who was in worse position and weaker in forces.
76. God increases in guidance those who accept guidance. And the things that endure—the righteous deeds—have the best reward with your Lord, and the best outcome.
77. Have you seen him who denied Our revelations, and said, “I will be given wealth and children”?
78. Did he look into the future, or did he receive a promise from the Most Merciful?
79. No indeed! We will write what he says, and will keep extending the agony for him.
80. Then We will inherit from him what he speaks of, and he will come to Us alone.
81. And they took, besides God, other gods, to be for them a source of strength.
82. By no means! They will reject their worship of them, and become opponents to them.
And here's the commentary.
The devils here are clearly those who lead others to evil.
The wicked only are spoken of, as the context shows clearly. That the righteous will not go to hell is made clear further on: “The day when We gather the dutiful to the Beneficent to receive honours, and drive the guilty to hell, as thirsty beasts” (vv. 85, 86). According to 21:102, the righteous will not hear the faintest sound of hell.
For the meaning of thumma, the first word of v. 72. It is wrong to suppose that the righteous will be first cast into hell and then delivered.
Compare v. 68, where it is said that the guilty will be brought to hell on their knees.
That is, they are proud of their great wealth and numerous forces.
The Hour signifies the hour of doom, the time of destruction, when their power will be utterly destroyed. The ‘adhåb, in comparison with the doom, signifies a lighter punishment.
In these words it is clearly indicated that the time will come when they will find themselves in an evil condition, and their forces weaker than the forces of Truth.
They have no eye for the higher values of life; all they want is wealth and children.
The reference is to his saying in v. 77: “I shall certainly be given wealth and children”. God’s inheriting thus means that their wealth and children will be taken away from them and ultimately be a source of strength to Islåm.
This section is called "How the Opponents were Dealt with".
My heart is broken this morning. Someone has done something horrible to someone I love. I hate this has happened to that person.... but I am proud of the way that person I love is dealing with it. That said.... please say a prayer right now for that someone I love. God knows what that someone I love needs. Just join my number please.... in prayer.
OK... back to the verses. Money makes the world go around.... but children... well they have to grow up first... they are an inheritance. Putting money and children on the same list of ultimate desires.... well it's like claiming the now and the later. Right now... the guy with money is in charge..... that's the now.... his children will take over and his name will be remembered.... that's the later.
The verses say.... it doesn't matter how much money you have.... God will put you on your knees with just a thought if He so desires. It doesn't matter if everyone knows your name for generations to come.... if God wants you on your knees... it will be so.
This chapter is titled "Mary". Did Mary have money? She was from the Levitical side of the family. She wasn't on the food line and receiving hand outs..... but she wasn't a queen like Cleopatra. Did Mary have anything to do with the outcome of Jesus? I don't think so. Was Mary a prophet? Nope.
People worship Mary.... it diverts attention from God. God is the one who created Mary from a thought. Mary was just a human.... not a goddess or a queen... a human woman about 13 years old. She was betrothed.... she was supposed to marry Joseph and give him lots of children who would take care of Mary and Joseph in their old age. She had a baby and she was not married. She wasn't supposed to be having a child.
In the book of Esther in the Bible.... I learned that women were betrothed for about a year.... that was so that one man wouldn't wind up raising another man's child. When Esther was taken to the palace to be with the king.... she was first put in a sort of quarantine for quite some time... no men were allowed to be around her. That's how they did things back then.... no bastard children allowed.
But Jesus was a bastard in the eyes of those ignorant humans. We already saw, a couple verses back, where someone reminded Mary that she was not the daughter of a whore and she had no right to bring a bastard son back from Egypt. They called her a whore! They called Jesus a bastard! It wasn't just the Quran doing that.... it was everyone... she was raised in the church and she had a son before she was married!
The people who call Jesus a bastard child.... well they have a lot of nerve! They have to take on the whole Christian Tradition. That takes money and power. That requires the hiring of a lot of fake preachers to pound on a whole lot of pulpits all around the world.
One of these days.... and I don't figure it will be too long from now..... we'll all see Jesus return and we will all know.... Mary wasn't a whore.... Jesus is the Son of God. Some will be forgiven because they never knew better. It's a hard topic to deal with as an ignorant human.
Satan whispered in the ears of all who would listen.... "Forget all this crap about leaning an ear towards God.... it's money and children you desire".
On their knees they will go right to hell.
On their knees.... isn't that ironic.
