Quran 25:In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His servant, to be a warning to humanity.
2. He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, who took to Himself no son, who never had a partner in His kingship; who created everything and determined its measure.
3. And yet, instead of Him, they produce for themselves gods that create nothing, but are themselves created; that have no power to harm or benefit themselves; and no power over life, death, or resurrection.
4. Those who disbelieve say, “This is nothing but a lie that he made up, and others have helped him at it.” They have committed an injustice and a perjury.
5. And they say, “Tales of the ancients; he wrote them down; they are dictated to him morning and evening.”
6. Say, “It was revealed by He who knows the Secret in the heavens and the earth. He is always Forgiving and Merciful.”
7. And they say, “What sort of messenger is this, who eats food, and walks in the marketplaces? If only an angel was sent down with him, to be alongside him a warner.”
8. Or, “If only a treasure was dropped on him.” Or, “If only he had a garden from which he eats.” The evildoers also say, “You are following but a man under spell.”
9. Look how they invent examples for you. They have gone astray, and cannot find a way.

OK then.... here's the commentary.

Furqån (Discrimination, Criterion) is one of the names of the Holy Qur’ån because of the distinction which it brings about between truth and falsehood. As this chapter deals with the mighty transformation which the Holy Qur’ån had brought about in the lives of the people, as shown in the last section, it is mentioned here by the name Furqån. The addition of the words that the Prophet may be a warner to the nations is to show that the transformation which was being brought about in Arabia would ultimately extend over the whole world and all nations would benefit.
Vv. 2 and 3 speak of the different kinds of the polytheistic beliefs prevailing in the world, which were all destined to be swept away by the doctrine of Divine Unity as preached by Islåm.
In the previous verse, their allegation is that the Qur’ån is a forgery; here they allege that the Prophet had caused some stories of the ancients to be written down by some people who helped him and it was these stories which were recited to him and which he gave out as a revelation from on High. How could mere stories bring about the transformation which the Holy Qur’ån was working in the hearts of men? Attention to this is drawn in the next verse.
The secrets of the heavens and the earth which are known to God alone include the secrets of human nature. Transformation in men’s lives has always been brought about by means of Divine revelation, and mortal efforts have ever failed in changing the hearts of men.
The Prophet’s life was one of the utmost simplicity. He did all his work himself. He aided his wives in their household duties, mended his clothes, tied up the goats, and even cobbled his sandals. Nay, his kind and genial nature often led him to do other’s work. Once a woman, unable to work for herself, asked him to lead her into a certain street; he accompanied her there, only taking leave when her work was accomplished. He was a mortal, and partook of the ordinary food of a simple Arab. Hence they speak of him as eating food. The answer to this is given in v. 20, viz., that all prophets were mortal and subject to human laws, even as the Holy Prophet.
Their idea of a messenger of God was that he should be rolling in wealth. In fact, wealth was all in all to them and they paid no consideration to the moral, the higher, values of life for which the Prophet came. They were at the same time told that, though the Muslims had to suffer privations, they would be rewarded for their sacrifices in this very life. Treasures were placed at the feet of the companions of the Holy Prophet, and they were given gardens. But all this happened in accordance with Divine law, which requires the fulfilment of prophecy to be brought about gradually, even as it requires all growth to be gradual in the physical world.
Elsewhere, the disbelievers are quoted as saying: “Why was not this Qur’ån revealed to a man of importance in the two towns?”. Nothing except rank or wealth had any importance in their eyes, so narrow was their outlook on life. Their very conception of the real values of life was wrong, so they could not find a way.

Alright.... It's a new chapter. This one is called "The Discrimination". How appropriate.

One of the reasons some people didn't believe the Prophet.... was so common to humans. The Prophet didn't meet their "criterion" for a leader. He was a cobbler! He helped his wife with cooking and cleaning. He was not rich or powerful.

He was an average guy.... he ate average food.... he didn't own any humans.... he talked to average people... he didn't run the courts or the government. He was simply a guy who felt compelled to tell people what he was "told".

In verse 2 it says.... " He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, who took to Himself no son, who never had a partner in His kingship; who created everything and determined its measure."

That is a direct statement about the Christian Church. Actually.... it's a direct statement against the Catholic Church. Mary was not a goddess.... since she was human and not a goddess.... they think Jesus could not be the Son of God.

Jesus was a carpenter. Jesus only got angry when people did things that made God look bad. Jesus got really angry when He ran into the money changers who were ripping people off right there in the Temple!

God told people that Jesus was His only Begotten Son.

Matthew 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
God may have 1000 sons..... up there in Heaven. Jesus is the only Son who came to earth through a human womb. God created the molecules that were knitted together to make the human womb.... why would He have any problem with using that womb to bring an end to human death... brought on in the Garden. Adam and Eve started it.... Jesus became a human to stop it.

This issue here.... good Christians have made Mary into more than a little girl who had a baby. They made statues of her and started bowing down to them.

This issue here.... a cobbler had the gall to tell the rich they were full of bull.... they were running the church wrong.... bowing to a statue of Mary wasn't their only problem.... they were also changing their tale to fit the desires of the king.

Remember.... this was written in about 650AD. There were no printing presses or newspaper. There were still... town criers.

I'm old... I've been to so many churches.... I don't remember them all. The same thing is going on today. Leaders of churches, synagogues, and temples pretend to be God fearing. They are truly only working for the free food, clothing, and housing. Mommy wanted them to be a preacher... so there they are... stuck... never having found Salvation.... but capable of reciting the right verse at the right time to keep all the wealthy humans happy.

They keep God in a box.... claiming God has to act like a human.... stupid humans!

Stop putting God in a box.... God created boxes.... He created vast Heavens and humans keep trying to shove Him in their convenient, understandable, box.

This is about putting God in a box again.
