Quran 27:1 In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Ta, Seen. These are the Signs of the Quran—a book that makes things clear.
2. Guidance and good news for the believers.
3. Those who observe the prayers, and give charity regularly, and are certain of the Hereafter.
4. As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter: We made their deeds appear good to them, so they wander aimlessly.
5. It is they who will receive the grievous punishment—and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers.
6. You are receiving the Quran from an All-Wise, All-Knowing.
7. When Moses said to his family, “I have glimpsed a fire. I will bring you some news from it; or bring you a firebrand, that you may warm yourselves.”
8. Then, when he reached it, he was called: “Blessed is He who is within the fire, and He who is around it, and glorified be God, Lord of the Worlds.
9. O Moses, it is I, God, the Almighty, the Wise.
10. Throw down your staff.” But when he saw it quivering, as though it were a demon, he turned around not looking back. “O Moses, do not fear; the messengers do not fear in My presence.
11. But whoever has done wrong, and then substituted goodness in place of evil. I am Forgiving and Merciful.
12. Put your hand inside your pocket, and it will come out white, without blemish—among nine miracles to Pharaoh and his people, for they are immoral people.”
13. Yet when Our enlightening signs came to them, they said, “This is obvious witchcraft.”
14. And they rejected them, although their souls were certain of them, out of wickedness and pride. So see how the outcome was for the mischief-makers.
Here's the commentary.By their deeds are meant the deeds which they ought to perform. Evil deeds are made fairseeming to evildoers by the devil, while Allåh commends good deeds. Elsewhere: “But Allåh has endeared the faith to you and has made it seemly in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you disbelief and transgression and disobedience”.
The words man fi-l-når have been explained in a number of ways. The best explanation is that in which the word f ß (lit., in) may be rendered as meaning after or in search of. Thus one of the explanations of the phrase given by AH is he who is in the place or follows the direction in which the fire appears to him to be burning, so that the meaning is that Moses was blessed as also those who lived in this land. Rz says Moses may be said to be fi-l-når, because of his nearness to the fire, for he says that one who is very near a thing is spoken of as being in it. According to another commentator, the meaning is, he who is in search of it and after it. Still another explanation is that by man is meant that or what, and the place where fire was seen by Moses to be burning is meant. The addition of the words those (or whatever is) around it is to show that the whole of this land was blessed, because so many prophets for the guidance of humanity were raised there.
That the fire was not a physical fire is suggested by commentators. This is in fact clear. The voice that came to Moses was the voice of God and it came in the manner in which the Divine call comes to all prophets. Moses received a Divine revelation, and what he saw was in a state of transformation.
Moses saw a burning bush. Hubby won a trip to Australia.... back when Steve Irwin was still alive... we were to his zoo in Australia. The trip was really cool.... it was five days.... including a guided tour and a helicopter ride. It was a trip I'll never forget.... so cool.... Anyway.... while we were on the guided tour.... we were told that people in Australia use ceramic on the roof of their homes because of the eucalyptus plants that are so plentiful in Australia. They can burst into flame because the eucalyptus oil is so flammable. The eucalyptus bush can ignite at a really low temp. Wild fires are common.
Now I am quite pleased to offer that tidbit.... which might explain the burning bush. Maybe it was a eucalyptus that caught his eye. He still had to check it out... he had flocks with him.... and a fire would devastate his flocks and his slaves. So he went to check it out. That's when God talked to him.
It's always been called a miracle.... the burning bush.... but the miracle, I think, was that Moses listened to what God had to say and believed him.
I've heard some really wicked stuff come out of the mouths of ignorant humans, lately, that makes me wonder if these people are even listening to what they are saying. It really seems that they just don't hear the lies they are spreading.
Check out verse 4.
Satan makes evil seem nice.
Now check out verse 11.
All humans have to do is listen and then do as instructed.
Ignorant humans can turn it around.... if they are listening to the right message.
Satan makes evil seem nice.
