Quran 27:83. On the Day when We gather from every community a group of those who rejected Our revelations; and they will be restrained.
84. Until, when they arrive, He will say, “Did you reject My revelations without comprehending them? Or what is it you were doing?”
85. The Word will come down upon them for their wrongdoing, and they will not speak.
86. Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest therein, and the day for visibility? Surely in that are signs for people who believe.
87. On the Day when the Trumpet is blown, everyone in the heavens and the earth will be horrified, except whomever God wills; and everyone will come before Him in humility.
88. And you see the mountains, and imagine them fixed, yet they pass, as the passing of the clouds—the making of God, who has perfected everything. He is fully Informed of what you do.
89. Whoever brings a virtue will receive better than it—and they will be safe from the horrors of that Day.
90. But whoever brings evil—their faces will be tumbled into the Fire. Will you be rewarded except for what you used to do?
91. “I was commanded to worship the Lord of this town, who has sanctified it, and to Whom everything belongs; and I was commanded to be of those who submit.
92. And to recite the Quran.” Whoever is guided—is guided to his own advantage. And whoever goes astray, then say, “I am one of the warners.”
93. And say, “Praise belongs to God; He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. Your Lord is not heedless of what you do.”

And here's the commentary.

As a foretaste of what was in store for the rejectors of the Truth, the prophecy was also brought to fulfilment in this life. The whole of Arabia recognized the Holy Prophet as its temporal and spiritual head, and the proud opponents were abased.
That jabal signifies a great man has been shown in 13:31a. That in the passing away of the mountains there is a clear reference to the removal of the mighty men who opposed the Prophet’s preaching is also shown by the concluding words of the verse, which clearly speak of the punishment of the evil deeds by One Who is Aware of what they do.
The statement here that the Prophet is commanded to serve the Lord of the city of Makkah contains an allusion that the servant of the Lord will be the lord of that city.
Mark the firmness of the tone in which the showing of signs is asserted.
There are two verses here..... 85 and 88 that caught my attention.

In Verse 85 the author calls God "The Word". That's what John called God in His opening verses of the Gospel of John.

Now check out verse 88.... we think the mountains are a solid chunk of rock. We think mountains have always been there in that spot... and they will stay in the spot until they are weathered to sand.

Lately God has been playing with the mountains. The volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii is one example. Then there's a volcano working on an Spanish Island off the coast of Africa.... that is now active. There's also a new mountain in the bottom of the ocean near the Island of Tonga. Mountains are God's to move around as He pleases. We think mountains are solid immovable objects.... and God knows they are His to play with as He chooses.

Yesterday... in the Bible study verses.... Sodom was destroyed by fire from the sky.... Volcano! A pyroclastic eruption or a meteor sent hunks of burning sulfur down on the town. God can use nature as He pleases... He created it.... and He wields it to His will. He can do the same with humans.... He chooses to allow us to be ignorant self absorbed morons.... because we can choose to worship Him.

Same God... The Believers in the Bible and the Believers in the Quran are all worshipping the same God... just different books.... from different parts of the family.

Faith can move mountains!
