Quran 30:54. God is He Who created you weak, then after weakness gave you strength, then after strength gave you weakness and gray hair. He creates whatever He wills. He is the Omniscient, the Omnipotent.
55. On the Day when the Hour takes place, the sinners will swear they had stayed but an hour. Thus they were deluded.
56. But those endowed with knowledge and faith will say, “You remained in God’s Book until the Day of Resurrection. This is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not know.”
57. On that Day, the sinners’ excuses will not benefit them, nor will they be excused.
58. We have cited in this Quran for the people every sort of parable. But even if you bring them a miracle, those who disbelieve will say, “You are nothing but fakers.”
59. God thus seals the hearts of those who do not know.
60. So be patient. The promise of God is true. And do not let those who lack certainty belittle you.
Here's the commentary.
There is a deeper reference here to the law of the rise, growth and decay of nations.
Allåh’s sealing the hearts thus really means their own persistence in disbelief and wickedness, as the preceding verse shows.
Boy If I had realized I was this close to the end of the chapter yesterday.... we would have read this.
Don't listen to people who tell you "don't read that". This is not like the tree of knowledge. Reading the book the Muslim Tradition follows is a good idea.
Are you afraid of knowledge? Not everyone is meant to go to heaven. Are you?
Not everyone is meant to have eternal life. Are you?
All this talk about the rise and fall of Nations is making me very fearful. We are watching as a nation is surrounded..... by a bigger nation to the "North" where a "king of the North" is supposed to be coming from at the end.
There has, however, not been an agreement with Israel.... that was broken by another Nation..... but then again Iran is said to be weeks from having what they need to go nuclear. Iran could have a working bomb in a year.
Hubby said... as soon as Iran gets that bomb... they will shoot it at Israel. I believe if they shoot a nuclear weapon at Israel.... God will have a surprise for them. I don't think any guidance system will ever allow a nuclear weapon fall on Israel or Makkah. It just won't be part of God's plan.
I hope I am not one of those people who say "I didn't think the end was so near". Being caught off guard while posting Worship stories is one thing.... but when it comes to End Times and WWIII.... I don't want to think "oh it's not so near". Someone is going to break that peace accord with Israel.... and when they do.....
A lot of people will be saying.... "Oh I didn't know!"
