Quran 33:59. O Prophet! Tell your wives, and your daughters, and the women of the believers, to lengthen their garments. That is more proper, so they will be recognized and not harassed. God is Forgiving and Merciful.
60. If the hypocrites, and those with sickness in their hearts, and the rumormongers in the City, do not desist, We will incite you against them; then they will not be your neighbors there except for a short while.
61. They are cursed; wherever they are found, they should be captured and killed outright.
62. Such has been God’s precedent with those who passed away before. You will find no change in God’s system.
63. The people ask you about the Hour. Say, “The knowledge thereof rests with God. But what do you know? Perhaps the hour is near.”
64. God has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a Blaze.
65. Dwelling therein forever, not finding a protector or a savior.
66. The Day when their faces are flipped into the Fire, they will say, “If only we had obeyed God and obeyed the Messenger.”
67. And they will say, “Lord, we have obeyed our superiors and our dignitaries, but they led us away from the way.
68. Lord, give them double the punishment, and curse them with a great curse.”
69. O you who believe! Do not be like those who abused Moses; but God cleared him of what they said. He was distinguished with God.
70. O you who believe! Be conscious of God, and speak in a straightforward manner.
71. He will rectify your conduct for you, and will forgive you your sins. Whoever obeys God and His Messenger has won a great victory.
72. We offered the Trust to the heavens, and the earth, and the mountains; but they refused to bear it, and were apprehensive of it; but the human being accepted it. He was unfair and ignorant.
73. God will punish the hypocrites, men and women, and the idolaters, men and women. And God will redeem the believers, men and women. God is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Here's the commentary.The injunction to wear an over-garment is here given with the object that free women may be distinguished from slaves, so that they may not be annoyed and followed by men inclined to evil, who would come to know by this mark of distinction that these were pure and chaste women who would not tolerate insult or ill-treatment.
This verse and the one that follows relate to hypocrites as well as to certain Jews who spread evil reports concerning the Muslims. Before the Prophet died, Madßnah was cleared of these mischievous elements.
By the Hour is meant the hour of their doom, as prophesied in the previous verses.
For a false imputation against Moses by his own people, and even his own sister, see Num. 12. As this chapter deals with false imputations, the case of a false imputation against the prophet in whose likeness the Holy Prophet came is cited, and attention is drawn to the fate of those who had taken part in the accusation. The false accusations against the Holy Prophet are all forged by his opponents.
Ïamala-l-amånata (lit., he bore the trust) means he was unfaithful to the trust. T explains ya√milna-hå as meaning they were unfaithful to it, and √amala-ha-linsånu as meaning man was unfaithful to it. Not bearing the trust signifies that they paid it back, and everyone who is unfaithful to a trust is said to have borne it. The meaning is that nature is true to its laws which bring about its evolution, but man is not true to the laws on which depends his real happiness.
Happy Sunday to you! While it's still fresh.... read the last sentence of the commentary one more time.Nature does what nature does naturally. If a tree is bound to bloom.... it will bloom. If a bird is bound to sing... it will sing. If a cow is bound to eat grass and fart methane then the cow will eat grass and fart methane. No government can tell a blossom not to bloom or a bird not to sing or a cow not to fart methane. They follow the laws of nature.
Humans, however, argue over everything! Humans make up stuff to argue about. Humans always want to be right..... but they have no clue how to be right... really. Girls want to show leg... men want to touch. Men want to lead the pack.... other men want to retain the seat. Bullies want to bully.... and others want to live in peace. The more the humans do wrong... the more they get mired down. The longer you leave a cow in the same place... if you don't clean up the poop or air out the farts.... the stinkier the cow will be. That's what humans do..... they get mired down by the poop they spread by being wrong.
Women.... men are hateful, lusty creatures and they are naturally drawn to women.... so lengthen your skirts... it will drive them to behave themselves. Women were put on earth to "help" men. Right now, the men need "help" being good humans. It's up to us to stop all the insanity.
It's up to us to tame those men. Let's lengthen our dresses and hide our cleavage until they get their heads on straight and put the bullies back in their boxes.
Women.... let's end this war with a Sex Strike!!!!
