Quran 36:In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. Ya, Seen.
2. By the Wise Quran.
3. You are one of the messengers.
4. On a straight path.
5. The revelation of the Almighty, the Merciful.
6. To warn a people whose ancestors were not warned, and so they are unaware.
7. The Word was realized against most of them, for they do not believe.
8. We placed shackles around their necks, up to their chins, so they are stiff-necked.
9. And We placed a barrier in front of them, and a barrier behind them, and We have enshrouded them, so they cannot see.
10. It is the same for them, whether you warn them, or do not warn them—they will not believe.
11. You warn only him who follows the Message, and fears the Most Gracious inwardly. So give him good news of forgiveness, and a generous reward.
12. It is We who revive the dead; and We write down what they have forwarded, and their traces. We have tallied all things in a Clear Record.
13. And cite for them the parable of the landlords of the town—when the messengers came to it.
Here's the commentary.
According to I‘Ab, the meaning of Yå Sßn in the dialect of Ôayy is yå insånu, i.e., O man, or O perfect man. Thus yå meaning O, is retained in full, while the word insån (man) is represented by Sßn. There is almost a consensus of opinion that the reference in this abbreviation is to the Holy Prophet himself.
The first warning of the Prophet was for the Makkans, but he was a warner for all nations as well.
Sale’s suggestion, that the word here signifies a sentence of damnation pronounced at Adam’s fall, is a Christian interpretation of a Muslim doctrine. The word which proved true is that Truth is always opposed first but it wins in the end.
This is a description of the proud attitude of the disbelievers towards the Prophet’s preaching. As to the result being attributed to Allåh. The chains of pride and stubbornness are really the things which prevent them from listening to and accepting the message of the Prophet.
These were the barriers of their own stubbornness. The barriers before them prevented them from looking forward to the eminence to which they could rise by following the Truth, and those behind them prevented them from looking back to the history of nations which were destroyed on account of their rejection of the Truth.
What they send before are their deeds, and their footprints are the marks they leave behind for others to follow.
YaSin.... is another name for the Prophet Muhammed... according to the commentary. The commentary says he was a perfect man.
Now "perfect man" in the Christian Faith is not possible. Even Jesus had a human side. Even Jesus threw temper tantrums. Think about it.... He threw a temper tantrum at the Temple when he destroyed the market... pouring all the coins on the ground and running off the sheep and goats. That makes even the Son of God.... human.
So to state that Muhammed was a "perfect man" is, in my humble uninformed opinion, is just ignorant.
Humans are not capable of perfection. If humans could be perfect, then what would we need from God?
So.... was Mohammed the perfect guy for the job.... you betcha! In that he reached perfection.
But was Mohammed the perfect man.... nope! Humans are flawed... it goes with the DNA.
YaSin.... Perfection
