Quran 38:55. All This. But the transgressors will have a miserable return.
56. Hell; in which they will roast; what a miserable abode!
57. All this. Let them taste it—boiling and bitter cold.
58. And similar torments of diverse kinds.
59. “This is a crowd rushing headlong with you.” There is no welcome for them. They will be scorched by the Fire.
60. They will say, “But it is you! There is no welcome for you! It is you who brought it upon us! What a miserable end!”
61. They will say, “Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us, give him double torment in the Fire.”
62. And they will say, “What is it with us that we do not see men we used to count among the wicked?
63. Did we take them for mockery, or have our eyes swerved from them?
64. This is certainly true—the feuding of the people of the Fire.
Here's the commentary. The word ghassåq, which is generally rendered as ichor, is really a qualification of drink (understood, as in the case of √amßm, which means boiling), and means intensely cold. It also means stinking, but being mentioned along with √amßm, or boiling, the significance adopted suits the context. They will be made to consume intensely hot and intensely cold drink, because they went to the two extremes and did not follow the mean.
'Azwåj is plural of zauj, which means a pair or one of a pair, also sort or species. The word may carry the significance adopted or it may mean in pairs, referring to the two extremes, as in the previous verse.
This is the army of blind followers of falsehood.
The speakers here are the blind followers, those addressed being the ringleaders.
OK...I see finger pointing in Hades. I see the multitude of poor souls who never chose to Believe, pointing at all those who should led them to Belief but didn't.
I bet there are going to be a lot of church people... of all faiths.... doing that.
The ringleaders... who are they.... the ones that seem to be joined at your tithing or tax paying pocket.... until the time comes to pay the bill.
Oh God's going to grab those ringleaders by the scruff of the neck too.... but why worry about that.... why wait for the ringleaders to give us permission to worship God.... not shiny baubles or idols of human origin?
The churches, synagogues, and chapels are full of people doing what grandmom and granddad have always done.... going to church on Sunday Morning.... and back to work like nothing happened. They aren't there for the worship.... just the respect for their elders and the rituals of the family.
The empty pews in a lot of churches belong to those who can't come to church, synagogue, or chapel on Sunday because they have to work for one of the ringleaders.... who probably rents a pew while you work.
There will be a lot of finger pointing in Hades.
