Quran 39:53. Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves: do not despair of God’s mercy, for God forgives all sins. He is indeed the Forgiver, the Clement.”
54. And turn to your Lord, and submit to Him, before the retribution comes upon you. Then you will not be helped.
55. And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord, before the punishment comes upon you suddenly, while you are unaware.
56. So that a soul may not say, “How sorry I am, for having neglected my duty to God, and for having been of the scoffers.”
57. Or say, “Had God guided me; I would have been of the pious.
58. Or say, when it sees the penalty, “If only I had another chance, I would be of the virtuous.”
59. Yes indeed! My Verses did come to you, but you called them lies, turned arrogant, and were of the faithless.
60. On the Day of Resurrection, you will see those who told lies about God with their faces blackened. Is there not a place in Hell for the arrogant?
61. And God will save those who maintained righteousness to their place of salvation. No harm will touch them, nor will they grieve.
62. God is the Creator of all things, and He is in Charge of all things.
63. To Him belong the reins of the heavens and the earth. But those who blaspheme against the revelations of God—it is they who are the losers.
This is the commentary.

Stress is laid on the mercy and love of Allåh in all religions, but these great Divine attributes find their true and final expression in Islåm. No religion gives the solace and comfort which we find in this verse. It discloses the all-comprehensive mercy of Allåh, before which the sins of men become quite insignificant.
A√san, or best, stands for the revelation of the Qur’ån. God has ever been revealing His will to men, but the Qur’ån, being the final expression of His will, is the best revelation that has been sent to men.

I'm sure the writer thinks the Quran is the best book ever written. So far.... gotta say... it's not. The Bible is a lot more exciting. In order to get people to understand what is written in the Quran... the people have to read it... and this is no where near as interesting as Moses leading 2 million refugees out of Egypt. Noah and his boat is more exciting. Jonah and his whale is more exciting. This book only mentions them... gives them a pat on the back.... and then changes the story to fit their needs and dulls it down. In my opinion this book is definitely not the best book ever written. It might be the last, it might be the latest, but it is no where near the best.

It is necessary though. Who needs a double sided coin if we are never going to see the other side? Who needs a triangle of traditions if no one ever notices the other two sides? Each of these traditions, or books, has a tale to tell or a tradition to teach. They are all about the same God.

In the apartment complex where I live... there is a pool. I live on one side of the pool and my buddy lives on the opposite side of the pool... and we have a friend who brings her two dogs to another side of the pool to poop. When someone says something about the pool at our apartment complex, I see it one way and my friends see it in their view. We all have different views... but it's the same pool.

Three traditions, one God.

Three chances to choose a tradition..... one God.
