R-12 A/C recharge?

I have an old car that uses R-12 and it is getting a little low. It still works, but it can't keep up with the summer temps any more. Does anyone know about how much an R-12 recharge would be or where to get one done? I know back in the day I would just go to Kmart and get a can for $1.99 and put it in myself, but not anymore.

they are getting rid of r-12 it is high dollar to buy. you may want to look at retro fitting the system, so you'll need to vaccum and a fitting change to make it r-134

hey i think autozone sell a product called frezze 12, i think its less then 15 bucks a can
i would try that better then, a compressor oil change, pulling the system down, and putting a new dryer on the car and buying the fittings for 134a. and then buying cans of 134a to fill the system to 80% of the r-12 capacity.
