If anybody has seen on it's Facebook page, the theater and possibly other movie theaters chains will re-open on July 17th.

"At this time, we are planning on re-opening this location on July 17th. This is subject to change. For the safety of our customers and our staff, there will be many new procedures in effect when we re-open.
Please visit our home page for a full list of details regarding the re-opening plans at www.rctheatres.com.
We appreciate all of the support during this difficult time and we cannot wait to see you at our theater again!"

Can you wear a mask for 1 1/2 to 2 hours long?

Sure. Anyone can. I routinely use an N95 while doing construction work in dusty environments, especially while sanding drywall or cutting silica-laden tile backer board. It's annoying but entirely manageable.

I hate wearing a mask, and often complain about how it makes me sweat. But I also know there are others that have it much worse...those required to do so for an entire shift of their job. I think I read however that you don't have to wear one once in your seat. Which is good. How would you be able to eat your popcorn otherwise?

It's great that they're opening - but there aren't any movies out right now, according to the news this morning. I guess they can't get the movies that were going to come out? Seems like there would have been movies waiting to be released from March - June. 🤔

It will be interesting to see how they will work this out. At 50% capacity or less, the website says you have to buy your tickets in advance (for touchless purchases) but you cannot choose your seat. So, you buy your ticket and try to get to the movie theater in enough time to be first in line to choose a decent seat. No way am I going to buy a ticket and have to sit in the front row. :ohwell:

The one good thing I am happy is the distancing between seats. That will keep those people who will pick that ONE SEAT that happens to be empty right beside you and someone else to sit in when there are at least 10 other seats in the surrounding rows that have no one beside them.

What are they going to show, haven't all the to be released movies been postponed till the fall?
I haven't heard a movie commercial in so long, I don't know. It seems like they could release them whenever if they're done. I'm sure there is more to the marketing than that, but - the whole world of movie-goers stopped suddenly in March - I'm sure they can fill theatres at 50% capacity (100% if they were allowed!) in the summer!

They can bump up the release dates of the new Bond movie and Maverick.
Bump it sooner or later?

I cannot wait to see that latest Bond movie! Daniel Craig ranks up there with Sean Connery as Bond in my opinion. :hot:

UGH -No choices I'm interested in until November. Guess I won't be spending my money at the movies!

So many originals to choose from, should I save up for James Bond or F9? :barf:
