I'm sure by now, you know the last 27 days have been little more than celebrating black history, blackness, blackish, buy black, blackish, et al.
One of the news shows in Washington is now ramping up rhetoric over the affirmative action supreme court justice nominee.
Well, the point made is we need more black women involved in politics, Congress, senators, mayors etc..
Several BLACK women in politics now were interviewed. They cited "we NEED more black women to support "us". "Us" means black women and men. (and Steny and Larry)
Silly me, I thought mayors, senators and congress persons were supposed to represent all. ahhhhh NO. Not now.
How can they get away with saying that?

Just a thought.

I believe in equality. Every position should approximately represent the population percentages. Let's start with the NBA, then move on to NFL, the Congressional Black Caucus is greatly in need of equality, the Federal funding at HBCU's need to be cut until they are Former Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and the United Negro College Fund needs to disperse their monies with much more equity to the OTB (other than black) people. Meanwhile some organizations need to change their names such as the NAACP and UNCF. On the opposite side, it seems Biden needs to reduce the number LGBTQ in his admin to truly reflect the make-up of the general population.

My test for what is acceptable is that you can insert any other race and people won't lose their minds. Like the time a Towson student wanted to create a European student group. People were losing their crap hard over that. But if you point out that they have black student groups and gay student groups, they will tell you that those groups are different. And that a White/European group is somehow racist.

Lowe's started up what they call "Business Resource Groups," for every social/cultural/ethnic subdivision save folks of predominant European heritage.

And yet some groups still can't get past the starting blocks.
Which would severely disappoint the non-Euro folk who were part of my hometown's community.
Teachers, doctors, CPA, lawyers, HVAC techs (a couple of my dad's work mates), a trucking company owner, a construction company owner...

They'll completely ignore talking about those last 3 black female Mayors of Baltimore. The last one was just released from prison.
