Is there some kinda solar activity wreckin' my drive to work?

I'll check the solar activity, but the atmospherics in this region are very poor for radio signal propagation. Temperature and humidity, especially at this time of year, wreak havoc on radio and TV. It could be we have what's known as "ducting" going on, which means our local signals are suddenly going to some very unlikely places - way down south, most likely. When ducting occurs, it can knock the local signal strength way down.sleuth said:Anyone else have exceptionally poor radio signals this morning on the way in? I had the same problem at the end of last week. It started late in the evening. There was a very loud plane flying above and after that I havent had anything but static. I asked people around work last week but none of them noticed anything.itsbob said:I noticed it the end of last week.. but today was even worse. Last week it was fine at the house, and degraded as I came south. Today it was crap right from my driveway..

So that crap screws with XM too? Or did DH snag your ride again?Kizzy said:I noticed it too. I was wondering what was up. I would have a good song on, driving down the road and it would go static. There must be something going on.
