Hello Soccermom2,

Not sure these are working as well as they can be...Like the effort, BUT with the info on the photo:

EXIF Sub IFD

* Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) {0x829A} = 1/125 second ===> 0.008 second
* Lens F-Number / F-Stop {0x829D} = 28/5 ===> ƒ/5.6
* ISO Speed Ratings {0x8827} = 400
* Original Date/Time {0x9003} = 2011:01:17 19:33:32
* Flash {0x9209} = Flash did not fire
* Focal Length {0x920A} = 52/1 mm ===> 52 mm

Indicates maybe not the right lens or limited too. I take it this is NOT a macro lens but the zoom lens the Nikon D3000 came with?? Unfortunately with this lens you are unable to get 'real' close to your subject, which then results in your heavy cropping you needed to do? The photos are not as sharp as they can be, if you are able next time... try setting your camera up on a tripod, maybe with the 1/125 you might be not completely holding the camera still?? I just don't know but from looking at the shots and the info from the photos that will be my suggestions. Maybe wait until the water drips just right off the branch for more of an effect?? Hope that helps...???

Thanks for the suggestions. I did not use a macro. I just grabbed the camera on a spur of the moment. Next time I will try harder. But for what it is its ok. Nothing i would print out.

I like them! Especially the third one. Is it my imagination, or am I seeing the reflection of the camera/lens in the drop in pic #3?
