http://www.weather.com/newscenter/fcstsummary.html?from=wxcenter_newsFriday will be the beginning of a prolonged wet and stormy period across the Northeast. A cold front will enter today and provide the region with plenty of rain and thunderstorms. Some of the storms will be severe with damaging winds, hail and heavy (possibly flooding) downpours. This is just the beginning as the front stalls over the region while a broad upper trough to the west sends disturbances along the boundary resulting in bouts of rain and thunderstorms through the weekend and into next week. While the front may waver back and forth over the region into next week, significant rainfall amounts are possible from New England to the Middle Atlantic making flooding a possibility. Under the rain and clouds, expect temperatures to be cooler this weekend than they have been in recent days. This means plenty of 70s, a few 60s from New York and Pennsylvania to New England on Saturday and Sunday.
Looks like a ton of rain.
I hope it stops before July 3.
