I had some bad memory from Kingston and sent it back. They sent me what should have been an exact replacement. It has different dimensions, though; the 'height' is shorter. It fits in the memory slot, but when I start the computer it beeps. I'm going to try installing again in case perhaps it was user error, but I'm wondering if height matters. I was thinking that perhaps over time they 'shortened' the height. I did notice it was 'refurbished' so maybe it is human error and a labeling issue.
The problem I have with calling their support is the memory I ordered for my computer originally was the wrong memory - but it worked - except for the bad stick. Now I can't get the replacement they sent to even work, but I fear them telling me it is b/c it is the wrong memory. They open at 9, so I guess I'll see.
