BRAC? Maybe an issue back when, maybe, but with what this base has now, no damn way is it in danger. Between JSF, Presidential Helo, NAVAIR program offices and engineering arms, weapons work, MQ-25, Triton?

Even if they wanted to go, which they wouldnt. Heck, hard enough to get young people to come "all the way down here" to work.
I've been to China lake, no boat ramps.
Trump wanted one for 2021, but I am pretty sure it wasn't included in the Defense Appropriations.

You say that, but I have personally seen worse (Mare Island). One of the busiest shipyards in the US, only real sub-capable shipyard on the west coast (no Bremerton doesn't count)? Why not close it. Surely Pearl is completely secure and can easily respond within minutes to any and all threats on the west coast.

The RF spectrum out west is completely cluttered the way it is with China Lake, Edwards, Point Magu, Yuma etc. Can't fit 6 gallons of crap in a 5 gallon bucket
