Rock Hall, Md. (AP) - It's a blue crab all right - but it's not blue.
Two Chesapeake Bay crabbers found a rarity when checking their crab pots - a male albino blue crab. But this crustacean won't be going into someone's crab cake.
The watermen kept the crab alive and are donating it to the University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute in Baltimore.
UMBI officials say they'll keep the crab alive for genetic research. They might even try breeding it - if they can find a suitable mate for the unusual fellow.
Sorry - no pics
