I was rubbing my dogs belly last night and noticed a strange redish/purple rash on him. Could it be a hot spot? Either way Im taking him into the vet but I was wondering if any of you know what it could be! He hasnt been licking it and it doesnt seen to be causing him any pain. Thanks
My JRT's get this kind of rash right on their belly between their hind legs. I use Happy Jack, you can use on any animal or dog, but JRTs are known for this type of rash.
When my doggies get their rash it doesn't bother them either, sometimes I think the dirt or grass outside tends to make the rash come on a little stronger, but once I used the Happy Jack the rash went away w/in a couple of days.
You can get it at Southern States or maybe call your local pet store and see if they carry it. I got mine at Southern States, so I know they have it for sure. It runs about $15 and you only have to use about a dimes worth(depending on the size of your dog).
