Raw Foods

I just went to Solomons (Clippers Canine Cafe) to get Miss Dog's new raw food. It comes in frozen patties which you thaw and feed raw. It's supposed to be REALLY good for them.

Just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with it?

Put it outside somewhere, and let her 'find' it. Dogs love to eat random garbage they find outside.

I am so very blessed
I like to take hot dogs oiut of the freezer and give them to my dogs on hot and humid days like we've had lately. They love it!

 Sounds like my pets, spend money on something you swear that they will LOVE, then when you get home, they refuse to eat/play with it.

Thanks for the hot dog idea Badgirl, might have to use that.

I was thingking about do the raw food for my pup. But my Vet said she does not recommend it. I think it is because my dog is a toy dog and can only handle a certian diet. She could just not like the idea of that diet. I am feeding my pup an all natural dog food. You know the one where you can actualy read the ingredients from the bag.

Can you take your pups over there for dinner, like a real person cafe type thingy?

No, that's what I was hoping too!

But, they have a pastry counter that could compete with Wildewood pastries. Snowballs, eclairs, etc. all for pups. Also, toys, collars, beds. I'm not allowed to go back w/out my husband!

You know I thought the same thing. I was thinking that is was either a cafe for animals or a cafe were animals and their owners would be able to enjoy lunch together. I find that would of been cute. Could of been a opportunity to get to meet new people. Could you imagine. Off topic my sister-in-law gives her dog expensive bottle water. I was thinking about doing that, only because I do not trust the water from here in CRE.

I'm actually one of the owners of Clipper's Canine Cafe. I SWEAR by raw. It saved my older dog's life 8 and a half years ago. Clipper (my 3 year old Lab) is from a raw foods breeder and he's the healthiest dog I've ever owned. My dogs have no fleas, great coats, no allergies and amazing teeth. I think all dogs can do great on the raw regardless of size. If your having any trouble switching your dog over to the food please give me a call or stop by the store. We have a great booklet about raw and it answers most of the questions people have. I've also had almost 9 years experience feeding it so I've got lots of tricks for helping dogs with the initial switch. Sometimes switching to a different raw food helps too. If you decide that the raw isn't what you want to feed we have lots of other hormone, antibiotic and preservative free kibbles (although I think raw is better than any kibble on the market!!).

Where are you located?
