Great flick! I watched the "extended version", so it was a little choppy v. the "theatrical version" as I wanted to get a glimpse of everything. I will soon watch the "theatrical version" for a smoother look.
The man was a musical genius and the movie makes me want to delve deeper into his life's work. Amazing. I found myself experiencing the emotions of the film and "inspired", by the music, if you will. The way his mind works, as depicted, intrigues me. Obstacles, triumphs and such. In addition, the movie is indicative of a long-time friendship with Quincy Jones, though it never really elaborates. This is an undeveloped storyline (for obvious reasons once you watch the movie - no time) that I'd like to explore.
Jamie Foxx was incredible - deserving of his accolades - as well as the supporting cast.
There is one part in particular that made me bow down and say to myself "Ray da Man!" - but, I won't give it away.
I do have a "but", an "if I would change anything"; it lies in only one area of the movie really, however, I don't want to preview my opinion.
I hope many of you get to enjoy this flick and post your thoughts.
