Got an old phone with video capability and WiFi? Turn it into a home security system with movement sensor and remote notification. Pretty neat. There are home-grown ways to do this, but the company People Power has created an app that makes it a turnkey system. Their Presence app allows you to set up on old phone with a camera as a 'server' which can viewed remotely via their cloud.
