I have a hard time thinking this was terrible, she’s saying they’re unique by comparing them to a unique food to the area. Could you be offended if someone said southern Marylanders are as unique as stuffed ham?

It really was blown out of proportion. She didn't literally compare hispanics to tacos, she was saying the area had a unique blend of cultures which is evidenced by such things as the breakfast taco. If you could find breakfast tacos everywhere, then it wouldn't have been a good example.

It's like saying a blend of cultures in Nashville helped bring about Nashville Hot Chicken, and then everyone saying "Did she just compare black people to fried chicken"? No, no she didnlt.

'Dr.' Jill Biden Has Great Tips on Cutting Lemons and Tomatoes

Real Simple magazine is a lifestyle mag dishing out cooking secrets and shopping tips. Why the First Lady is sounding out here is a mystery. The headline of the piece reads: “Exclusive: First Lady Dr. Jill Biden on What It Means to Be a Working Mom.”

I’m sorry, but…. she’s a working mom? Her youngest kid was born in 1981. Meanwhile her stepson Hunter has not exactly turned out so well, so I’m not sure hanging her hat on that one is such a good idea.

Does she wish she had more time to spend on parenting? Yes:

Of course! Especially when you have kids, right? You’re always thinking, “Did I spend enough time at his game?” Or, “Should I have said that?” You’re always questioning yourself because you want to be the best mother you can be, the best teacher you can be.

Wait, what game did she not spend enough time at? Is Hunter in an over-40 softball league? She then goes on at length to describe her dinner-party habits, including her regular use of Post-It notes to remind people to cut the lemons and tomatoes. Finally she gets back to reality:

I don’t want to sound like a political ad, but we have done so much. Gas prices are a huge issue, and Joe is, every single day, on the phone talking to leaders about gas and oil. These problems are coming so fast and furious, and certainly a lot of it is dark, like you said. But I wish people could see more of what Joe has accomplished and how hard he’s working.

Yes. Stuffed ham tastes like ass.
You obviously have more experience tasting ass than myself, however if stuffed ham tastes like ass I might give it a try. But I don't think I will take your word for that LMAO.

I ask myself this. If we pay off student loans for these students, what will we do for students of the future who take out these loans.? Will we forever just let people take out loans and not pay them back.?
Colleges have already used the student loans to raise tuition to unacceptable levels, is there any reason they won't use this to continue raising tuition? IMO what we really need in education today is a college that teaches only courses that will lead to jobs and cut out the BS courses and the Social courses , and the basket weaving courses. A college that doesn't even have a football team, or any other sports team, but TEACHES.

I was with ya until that last part....I take it you don't realize how much revenue many college sports teams bring in to their respective colleges. I do agree that all that sports revenue and endowment money could be much better spent than building massive edifices and funding worthless courses.

The government already offers loan forgiveness.. Join the Army for 3 years, no more student loans.

Back in the 90's, loan repayment was unlimited.. and the Army, in it's infinite wisdom, put a cap on it after ONE person took advantage for the tune of about $150K. Knowing what the average student loan is, you'd think the Army would have screamed about it, put ads out bragging about it, instead they ensured it would never happen again.

Not sure what the cap is now, but the military does still offer loan repayment with a 3 year enlistment.

That's not forgiveness though, that requires someone actually do something in exchange for paying off the loan. That's like calling your paycheck mortgage forgiveness.
