"As Seen On TV" for stripping finish/varnish/stain from furniture ... anyone tried it? Is it worth a damn or a waste of time? TIA.

I'm in the process of using it now. I've discovered that it works better on tight grain wood. The further down the paint "sinks" into the wood, the tougher it is to scrape it off. And the residue is an absolute biatch to get off.
