Duh. Some idiot injured their kid by sitting them in a Bumbo on the kitchen counter. Some parents need a license before having kids.

I've tried the Bumbo once with my son. He screamed. I'm sure he'll learn to like it as he gets a little older. I will not be dumb enough to put him on a counter, table, or any other high surface.

Why can't babies just learn to sit up on their own the old-fashioned way.

Forgive me. My youngest is 13, but I do recall them having warnings on the box that said "DO NOT PLACE THIS OBJECT ON HIGH OR UNSTABLE SURFACES"...or something to that effect.

28 kids suffered head injuries because their parents were too stupid to realize that maybe they shouldn't put their kid in a baby seat on a table.

My son never really liked it...I only used it a few times. And by the time he was really ready to use it, he was sitting up by himself. If your son does learn to love it, get the Bumbo toy tray...I didn't have one and when I put my son in it he couldn't reach any toys because it sits them about 6 inches off the floor.
