Recent Metrocast outages in Lexington Park

Anyone else having digital phone and internet outages in the Lexington Park area recently? It seems like it's gone out for an hour or so roughly every other day for the last week or so.

I have verizon and it was down 3 afternoons this week. What the heck is going on? I was thinking of switching to Metrocast but maybe it is just as bad as Verizon dsl?

Anyone have any views on which one is better - Verizon or Metrocast as far as internet service?

Just keep your METROCAST bill paid and they won't block your internet like they told ME they DON'T do.

They will do this first. Its easier to block the net then come out and cut your cable off. Just pay your bill on time and it shouldnt be an issue...

Verizon DSL here. Service "glitches" several times each day and then comes back several minutes later.

I've had numerous techs here to try and figure it out. They all helped out a bit.

The most honest answer I got is all the cable is old and they are trying to carry too much to too many locations.

My solution? I got an older heavy duty modem which reboots itself.

When I do have a problem, Verizon has been good with the internet, and horrible with the phone (landline) It took them a week to fix the phone. Pretty much next day with an internet issue.

There is another issue...when I answer the home phone the internet cuts out. They haven't figured that one out yet other than I have too many packages trying to run in my home...as do many others. I can dial out, but if I answer my phone the internet is dead.

Frustrating for me, but I bet the techs are more frustrated, and all these companies can't keep up with the services they are offering.
