What's wrong with that? Certainly you want the first person a customer sees to make a good impression.

If I had a public business, wouldn't matter male or female, a good appearance would also be required, nothing too extreme but anyone over 300lbs or a face full of piercing would not make the cut...

If I had a public business, wouldn't matter male or female, a good appearance would also be required, nothing too extreme but anyone over 300lbs or a face full of piercing would not make the cut...

why should it even matter about the weight maybe the piercings yeah if they r everywhere weight should not matter at ALL only how they can perform the work and they should look clean and dress according to the company's policy WEIGHT SHOULD NEVER BE AN ISSUE IT IS 2006 4 CRYING OUT LOUD OUR SOCIETY IS SOOOO MESSED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand this argument. If you went to your doctor, and he/she was unkempt, dressed in cutoff shorts and flip flops, and had body odor - but was a really good doctor - would you want to stay? Most people know that when they're dealing with the public they are the "face" of the company they represent. Why is it wrong for the company to choose what "face" they want to put out to the public?

Slovenly people who can't be bothered to comb their hair, bathe, wear clean clothing or take care with their appearance in general don't like it when other people find them offensive. They want the benefit of being attractive and tidy without putting in the effort to actually achieve it.
