Recommendations for differential work

Nothing to see here
My son's jeep has a whiring noise in the rear which I am thinking a bearing in the rear differential of his Cherokee sport. The usual place I go to for maintenance does not do differential work so looking for a good shop to take it to and have a rebuild kit installed.

How old?

The Jeep, not the son, I'm not like the rest of these degenerates..... well, most of them anyway...

96. Give it the gas around 45 MPH + and you hear the noise in the back. Let off the gas and the noise almost goes away. Thinking it is the front pinion bearing.

I was thinking of getting a used one from salvage yard. They have one with 150k miles on it want want $200. Thinking of just having his rebuilt.

Have you checked the u-joints? And if you are going to get it rebuilt try Cottman up in the 'dorf.
