Anyone have a recommended vet in the Calvert / St. Mary's area?

We just picked up a 1 year old Lab (pics to come) who needs to have her rabies shot, heartworm pills, and to get spayed.

We are looking for a nice courteous vet who will treat her like the angel she is.

anyone have experience with Three Notch Vet Hospital?

I used to work for a guy who's wife works there and she might be able to hook me up, but I'm not sure about the place in general?

Thanks for the replies so far! Keep 'em coming!

They screwed my dog up with 2 operation's and the thrid one was on them, and the office manager is not very customer friendly. I left there after being a client for more then 10 years. Have been at St. Mary's Vet Hosptial and they are the best.JMO

I hate St. Mary's. They charged me $300+ to tell me my cat, who was bleeding from her rear end was fine, sent her home and she delivered 7 dead kittens and died of a massive infection 4 hours.

I was only there because they were closer than Tidewater, my normal vet. I will never go anywhere other than Tidewater. They are the best!

St Mary’s Vet is great in general. I say that because I refuse to let my dog be seen by Dr MacCubbin but the rest of the Dr’s & Techs are wonderful. I’m really bummed Dr Hurty is gone he was my favorite Dr.

I have a one year old lab that I take to Three Notch Vet. They are wonderful there. I have taken him there since he was 8 weeks old.

my g/f actually told me about these people last night, and I think she might call them today.

I did tell her however, about that damn groomer down there who murders dogs.

The vet's office and the groomer's are two different businesses. I don't think they are related at all. Solomon's Vet has been there for over 14 years. The groomer is new this year, if they are still open.

Drs. Ball and Edward's are both good vets. The office and exam rooms are clean and their schedule usually runs on time. They also have a website that updates specifically for your pet(s) once registered.
