Hi...

Who would you recommend for a quick recovery off of hard drive? I actually only need a copy of one file---and the laptop just has a blank screen. So the harddrive isn't damaged---I just can't see what I am doing!

I'd like it done quickly....what could I expect to pay? North St Mary's county or Southern Charles county. I can bring the computer to them....

Try hooking a CRT monitor to the external monitor port. sometimes it's OK even if the LCD dies.

Best way to recover the data is to take the drive out and connect it as a second drive on a desktop, or use a USB adapter to make your drive a USB drive.

Do you have a monitor from another computer? If so, plug it into the monitor jack on your laptop and reboot the laptop. Chances are the monitor will work even if the laptop screen doesn't.

This should work depending on the issue that the laptop has...

If it doesnt send me a PM and I can get the data off the drive for you... Shouldn't be a problem... I live in waldorf so it shouldnt be a big deal to meet somewhere...
