This is a great cause! My son is a Fireman in Frederick County and we Donate every year. Even though we don't live there, and to what ever local county we live in as well.

Thats great to hear, I think many of us forget how fortunate we really are and that 1 toy can bring so much happiness to that child for some time to come.

I know some will think this is not the appropriate forum for this, however I feel that all in all many of the users are great and are willing to give. If anyone would like to give who work on base, please PM me and I will meet you.

thanks

Is there any particular age group that needs particular attention? I know on many of the toy runs that I have been on, most of the toys are purchased for young boys, and younger girls.

What we do is group the toys up for the ages, ie: pre-3 3-5 and so on, kids of all ages up to 17 are within this project.

But what I'm askin is, is there any particular group that gets shorted? In years past, several toy runs have asked to concentrate on older kids. All to commonly the heart strings are pulled by thoughts for the younger kids.

There is always be a shortage of toys for all ages, especially since we are dealing with 3 counties we do not get the demographics on any particular age group. We will bring all donations together and then divide them up for each county since one county always gives more then the others we want all counties to have equal donations. Any donation is welcome regardless of what is it. Remember, 10.00 goes along way in a dollar store!!!!!
