Red Maple & Setting Sun

I went out to put fish on the grill and looked over and saw this image in the setting sun. The light was changing so rapidly I didn't have time to grab the tripod so they are not as good as I would like. (Excuses, excuses, excuses).

This is one of the last trees in the yard with leaves still on it. Most everything else was hanging in there till the storm started up last week. Now we have more leaves in the street than we have left on our trees.

All kinds of trees holding on up here. We didn't get much of the storm(s) at all. Just gray and light rain for the last, what, 100 days?
