Redecorating Toddler's Room

GeezLouise

tired and content....
I need help....I want to redecorate my almost 21 month old son's room. He is now in a toddler bed and his room needs an updated look. Does anyone know of any sites that has pictures, ideas, etc. on how to decorate using a sports theme? I cannot find anything! I can't come up with anything, i'm not that creative....I need pictures.

Pottery Barn is pricey but you can get good ideas there as well as paint colors used so you can re-create what you like. Also, HGTV has some ideas as well. Here are some links.

I thought about that thread when I was posting....I was thinking more of a generalized "sports" theme.....not on one specific team. He loves baseball, football, golf, etc. He'd rather watch that than cartoons.

Have you thought about going to the fabric store picking out some fabric that has a multi sports theme and hanging it like wall paper. This comes out beautiful if you do the bottom half material and the top half a contrasting color and then add a chair rail where they come togther. Best of all when he grows older and doesn't like it, you rip it down, wash the wall and your back to good again. It's very inexpensive and easy and yet looks like a million bucks. If you want more information or to see some pictures of my son's room let me know...

I like the Company Kids website for ideas. We just re-did our toddler's room in a dinosaur theme, and I ordered some stuff from them.

that's a really cute idea but how do you attach the fabric? the only thing i can think of right now is staples and that would leave all kinds of holes in the wall.

I heard someone talking about this just last week... I think they said it could be applied to the walls with liquid starch. When you are ready to remove... you just pull the fabric down and wash the walls.

No staples, you use liquid starch. Take the fabric put in a bucket of liquid starch and ring out then press on to wall, smear out just like wall paper. This will hold for years and when your done, find a corner rip it down and wash the walls. Your done ...
