Good Afternoon,
I wanted to reach out about some opportunities regarding Relay for Life of Charles County, taking place on May 10, 2025, at St. Charles High School. We are actively seeking new teams, sponsors, and marketing support for this impactful event. Attached, you will find our sponsorship package with details on how you or your organization can get involved.
If you're interested in registering a new team, you can do so here: Register a Team.
If you’d like to contribute to our $115,000 fundraising goal, you can make a donation here: Donate Now. Simply search for Charles County Relay and select the event in Waldorf, MD.
What is Relay for Life? Relay for Life began in 1985 when Dr. Gordy Klatt ran for 24 hours around a track to raise funds for the American Cancer Society (ACS). Over the past 40 years, Relay has grown into a global movement, uniting communities in the fight against cancer. It is more than a fundraiser—it’s a symbol of hope, remembrance, and determination. At Relay for Life, we come together to:
Relay for a cure—so that no family has to endure this pain, so that we can find better treatments, and so that no cancer patient ever feels alone. Relay for Life is a village, and a village takes care of its own.
Will you join us in the fight against cancer?
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you. For more information I can be reached phone: (301) 247 4343 or by email: asonon@ccboe.com
Best regards,
Anneliese Sonon
Co-Chair, Relay for Life of Charles County
