Remember Murietta? Dumping unvetted migrants into the cities of political foes was done by Obama first

Back in 2014, when the migrant surge of that year brought tens of thousands of "unaccompanied children" and "moms and kids," into the Rio Grande Valley, overwhelming the Texas processing facilities, President Obama inexplicably targeted small and mid-sized cities (same as the Trump officials' emails) as their next destination of choice. And instead of talking about it, they really did try to bus the unvetted migrants into small cities such as Murietta, California; Yuma, Arizona; and a conservative area of New Mexico, bringing crime, disease, and a high need for social services, without consulting those communities.

The residents protested, and the Obama administration declared them 'racist' in a bid to scare them into line.

I was on the ground at Murietta during those protests when I was an editorial writer at Investor's Business Daily, and I spoke to the citizens of that city, who were not only far from racist, but actually multiracial themselves. They told me this:
Asked why the rebellion was centered in Murrieta and not elsewhere, the residents all had one answer: they were Reagan Country, and it was on their soil that the Reagan revolution was lit in 1978.

Good find, brother.
Didn't bother to read anything but comrade GURPS' propaganda did you?

Didn't even bother to read the LA Times link inside conrade GURPS article did you??

Here is the LA Times article: https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-murrieta-immigration-protests-20140702-story.html

Go read it...take your time...read it slowly so you can understand all the big, adult words. In that article try to find the string of words (we educated adults call these sentences and paragraphs) that confirm this sentence in comrade GURPS' propaganda post:
The Los Angeles Times reported that it made no sense to dump the migrants into Murietta, because the much larger metropolis of San Diego, sixty miles south, had plenty of beds and holding cells for illegal entrants, and ones that could cater to migrant families.
You can look as hard as you want, you won't find it because it is not there.

Here is another article from the LA Times on the day of the event: https://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-immigrants-murrieta-20140701-story.html

It also does not state that the transfer is illegal or political retribution. Both articles do run the comments of your fellow ignorati members. THEY are the ones who claim political retribution (offering no evidence of course) or illegality (again offering no evidence).

Go ahead BOP...go read some actual reporting from the actual event. Additionally, with all the debunking that has happened on this site by myself and others of comrade GURPS' propaganda posts, you may want to take a few minutes to fact check his bullsh!t stories before you post.

YOU Haven't Debunked sht ... all you do is spew Fantasy, Supposition, Innuendo and Unfounded OPINION

The Los Angeles Times reported that it made no sense to dump the migrants into Murietta, because the much larger metropolis of San Diego, sixty miles south, had plenty of beds and holding cells for illegal entrants, and ones that could cater to migrant families.

That Quote doesn't refute the fact the Obama Administration did in fact dump the illegals off in Murietta, California; Yuma, Arizona; and a conservative area of New Mexico.

You really have a problem with reading comprehension

It also does not state that the transfer is illegal or political retribution.

Right because the LAT would make such a statement ....

Putting them in the Sanctuary cities is the greatest plan to come along in a long time.
It's obvious they would be accepted there much better.

It'll be Fine...
I don't understand why trans just HAS to try to "debunk" posts such as this one. It doesn't change a damn thing and quite frankly is getting a bit annoying. I'm glad I live in the "real" world, and not the one created by trans, et al...

It's called reading between the lines. Something the educated and informed people do all the time. Here, give it a try.

Stipulated: the American Thinker article gives the first-glance impression of accurately characterizing a sentiment expressed in the linked LA Times article. This is a problem because there is no quote (nor is there any sense) in the LA Times article that is even remotely similar to what the American Thinker writer seems to suggest the LA Times said. Not by a long shot, not by any shot. So if that's the hill upon which Transporter wants to plant a flag, okay. (S)he is exactly correct. However....

You'll note the American Thinker article doesn't put anything in quotes (re: the LA Times). That's important because what I think the writer was trying to say was to remind folks about Murietta in 2014. That hysteria should stand aside for a moment to allow us all to remember that not only did the Obama administration do exactly what is being complained about today he did it with spite and malice because he chose to dump in places that were politically opposed to him. We know it was spiteful and malicious because it made no sense given the more than adequate facilities elsewhere (specifically, San Diego?) to target Murietta. So while the LA Times didn't use the words Monica Showalter appears to have said it did, what the LA Times article did say most definitely allows for Showalter to make the reasonable assertion she made (i.e., that it made no sense...).

So yes, crappy, inartful, and somewhat misleading writing on the part of Monica Showalter. But Showalter's main point - the one I believe GURPS was making - is that this idea of "dumping" didn't originate with Trump. Rather, this "dumping" originated with a Democratic administration.

And by suggesting he may "dump" these illegals in sanctuary cities Trump is merely pointing out the hypocrisy of the Dems. In 2014 they were on-board supporting The Lightbringer's weaponized handling of illegals, yet now are apoplectic and losing their collective mind over the very same thing they supported 5 years ago. And there's a crucial difference; one that makes Obama's actions far more heinous than what the Dems are saying about Trump.

You see, the folks in Murietta didn't want the illegals and Obama sought to punish them. But - and here's the crucial difference - the Dem "undifferentiated ego mass" has been "all in" of support for illegals and as such Trump is trolling them to put money where their mouths are.

I was going to make a crack about socialism and money being mutually exclusive (so no money to put in their gaping pie holes), but I think the better thing to say about the Dems is #NIMBY, #HYPOCRISY.

Anyway, back to the article. While "Transporter pouncing" is to be expected, this time there actually is some justification.

Sadly, though, in him/her/xer looking for the solitary, lonely, puny, #TDS tree to critique Trump (and be, well, Transporter) Transporter missed the more majestic forest; that whatever faults the article may have in the writing it nonetheless presents a number of important points & reminders about an important national issue.

I'm going with the 'eyewitnesses'

Murrieta Residents: Obama Admin Flooding Our Streets to 'Force Immigration Reform'

Last week a large group of protesters blocked a bus full of migrants from arriving at a “housing facility.” That vehicle turned back, and several more busloads of illegal immigrants was expected to enter the town on Monday. Breitbart Texas broke the news that federal agents planned to bring riot gear and shields to ensure the successful delivery of the immigrants. Those plans, however, were thwarted by protesters yet again.

At this point it is unclear if federal authorities still plan on sending migrants to Murrieta–whatever the case, many of the town’s residents remain vehemently opposed to the idea.

John Henry, a Murrieta resident since 1991, has been protesting the illegal immigrants’ arrival for the past week. He told Breitbart Texas, “This is a small town–it’s mostly conservative–and the federal government knows that. The main reason a lot of us are out here protesting is because we do not want these people being dumped into our small town where we do not have programs or the resources to take care of them properly.”

Authorities apparently intend to house the migrants in a Murrieta-based Border Patrol station–Henry claims the facility is not equipped to handle a large number of individuals.

The Murrieta Rebellion

We talked to a dozen attendees (and protesters) to learn why the community had risen up against big government and where they thought their political mood was headed. National, they insisted.

"It's not about children, and it's not about race," said Tyler, a Murrieta homeowner of 29 years who was at the meeting with his teenage daughter. "It's about right and wrong. It's about rule of law."

When he drives too fast on the highway, he said, lawmen give him a ticket, and when politicians raised his taxes, he had no choice but to pay. But now a different set of rules was being applied by the federal government and thrown in his face — rules giving special privileges to let undocumented immigrants stay in the U.S. without permission.

The Los Angeles Times reported that it made no sense to dump the migrants into Murietta, because the much larger metropolis of San Diego, sixty miles south, had plenty of beds and holding cells for illegal entrants, and ones that could cater to migrant families.

The LAT did not say the dumping's did not happen, they just published an ambiguous statement knowing the Transporters of the world would assume anyone objection was lying about the dumping.
