Remember the "Gentle Giant" on WPBS Channel 26?

I'm looking for information on a kids' show during the 60s and 70s, I think called the, "Gentle Giant", which aired on PBS at that time. It was a big guy in "giant" costume", and he played a very unmistakable tune on his recorder/flute at the beginning of the show. I also believe the show was geared towards the 3-6 year old set (before Mr. Rogers).
