Little man wants a bike for his birthday. I'm honestly scared to get him one.

A HOT summers day fun was tying your hose to a tree limb so you could frolic under it, or the only swimming pool was a wash tub and all the neighborhood kids would take turns getting in. The tub was also used to wash the family dog. Towels weren't needed because Mom would simply make you stay outside until you were dry.

You could swim in the Potomac
You could walk the shore & catch soft crabs
The bay was clean & full of huge rock & blues
Dad had a "Corvair" with the "pancake" engine

jacks, hopscotch, chinese jumprope, red rover, hide and seek and good old dodgeball were the games played. Outside...:lol:

Oh yes! Gross. :barf: they still have twist off things that are kind of the same, but I would not buy them for my kids. They are now touted as a "beverage". Help me out...are they Mondo, and really cheap?

How about the "Pixi-Sticks" and "cigarettes" in the days gone by?

Jolly Rancher. Now, that was a good .05 cents well spent.
