Remembering Tim Richmond

ARCA Communications and Hylton Motorsports both have good pieces about Tim Richmond. See, tomorrow, Mansfield Motorsports Park is reopening. And ARCA is the premiere venue for Mansfield... ARCA decided to run the race in honor of Tim Richmond. Richmond was a great driver who had a very premature death due to AIDS. NASCAR doesn't speak of him often.

Anyways, I've got both pieces filed under the ARCA section at the new RacingForTheWin.com.

The race can be seen live on ARCARacing.com at 8:30pm EST.

I wonder how many championships Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon would've really won if Tim Richmond, Davey Allison and Alan Kulwicki hadn't died prematurely. :ohwell:

I thought about going to Mansfield. Damn economy.

ARCA Lincoln Welder Truck Series (late model supertrucks) are racing now. The Tim Richmond Memorial is set for 8:30.

Don't forget Rob Moroso, he had a great future ahead of him also..

Heck Poppa Dale would have wrecked those/these guys just like he wrecked everyone else, hehehe.. "Just trying to rattle his cage"... Terry Labonte' remembers that quote very well, I'm sure.

Parker Kligerman won the race btw. He has a bright future ahead of him.
