Renaming Navy Ships

I have an overall issue with the modern naming of Navy ships in general, and would have never named a ship after a suspected pedophile. Is it worth going through the trouble of renaming though.

(Announcing it during Pride Month is kinda funny though.)

I figure it can't be as expensive or disrupting as the chronic renaming of large naval shore facilities like Dahlgren every decade or so...

Yeah, but there's the whole ceremony to Poseidon/Neptune to go through before giving the ship its new name.

Beats heck out the massive cost of signs, stationary, etc that comes with changing the name of a major base. Besides...those can be great parties. I remember when Harry went through all the formalities and ceremony to change the name of his boat. That he sold soon after...LOL.

I pity the poor bastards aboard the Milk.............. Years ago the Kearsarge (carrier) was universally known as the "Queerbarge" Even the woke candyasses can't resist pouring it on these poor bastards.
