Replacement windows - recommendations?

We want to replace our old windows and storm windows with vinyl, double pane insulated windows. We've gotten quotes from Medallion and Clinton, but we would like to get at least one more, preferably from a local business. Any recommendations on who to call or who to avoid?

Thanks!

Lowes? They have, or had, some very good choices there.

Ask for a fella named Joe Bryer - Assistant Manager. I've known him for a long time. :yay:

We did have a contractor that works with Lowe's come and measure - we go back there tomorrow to pick our windows and get our quote. Since we're going to be dropping several thousand dollars, I feel like I need at least one more estimate.

Oh the joys of buying an older house...

There's a place up in White Plains that I've heard is the place to get siding, roofing, and windows for much cheaper than anywhere else. My parents rave about it. Once I figure out what the place is called I'll post it.

Southern Maryland Window & Siding, Mickey Graham, out of Lusby did my windows in Charlotte Hall about 7 years ago really nice job, had about 5 different estimates very reasonable.
