Replacement Windows

Has anyone had vinyl replacement windows done recently? We are shopping around right now and I just wondered if anyone has a recommendation for good windows, quality work that won't break my budget. We have already checked Home Depot, Lowe's and Long (the fence people). Any others you can recommend? TIA

I asked because I searched and couldn't find a thread here about windows. Then I Googled SoMd Windows and found your post from another thread:

Just my opinion, I'd never use Long's to do anything, I did call them originally and they came first and wanted something like $13,000, called Southern Maryland and got the job for about $4500. I had like 4 estimates and Long's was at least $4,000 more then the next closest.

We got the same quote from them the other night for EIGHT windows! They're nice windows but, even if it is an investment, I'm not willing to spend that much. Thanks for the info.

Not sure if you got my private message but my father in law does siding and windows at a very decent price with free estimates and is licensed. Taylor Siding 240 299 1099.
