Stop Staring!!!!!
Police dispatching to the Budds Creek area. An individual called to reported he saw a small, grey, twin engine plane look to do what he called a nose dive. Supposedly once he got to the area he was unable to see the plane again.
Police mention something about 2 airplanes are kept in the Hurry Rd area. En route to those locations.
To clarify a bit. The caller was driving down 242 toward the Budds Creek area. Saw the plane do this unusual move and drop out of site. Once he got closer to the area his was unable to see the plane again. Just called this in as a precautionary measure it seems. The caller did not see the plane go into the ground. Simply disappeared below the tree line from his field of view.
7:26 Several officers in the area. Nothing sighted as yet.
7:35 Officers still checking the area. One is En Route to Buckler way off 242. Officer out with with a white stake body truck whose driver is coming out of the woods now. The individual the officer is out with is the caller. Advises last time the plane was in sight he was southbound over 242, apparently following the road.
7:47 Trooper 7 assisting in the search. Numerous officers doing the same. Trooper 7 did find a plane 'parked' adjacent to a barn, unsure if it fit caller's description. Apparently the plane did show a couple of hotspots on the FLIR.
7:58 Trooper 7 is clearing now. Still nothing observe as far as any crash sites. Officers still looking.
8:02 One officer suspects he is out on the property that has an airplane fitting the description.
8:05 Officer advises he is out on Airport Lane with a plane fitting the description. They are at the owners residence. They suspected plane is tied down and has been reported as not having been moved for a while.
8:09 Officers advising a plane fitting the description in the area of the Clements interestion has apparently been flown today. They are out at a field that has 5 planes, 4 hangered and one outside. Witnesses advise one of them was flown today and was seen flying at unusually low altitudes. They are trying to find the owners phone number at this time.
8:30 Sounds like officers are starting to clear. I must have missed anything related to the actual plane having been found.
