Republican Sights Turn to Biden’s Mental Health and There Will Be No Mercy

As I touched on in an article that broadly focused on Biden’s issues (including on policy), he’s a man who certainly appears to be losing his mental faculties. No, not because he’s annoying, talks in word salads, etc. like many politicians do, but because he genuinely seems to be losing his mind.

If you oppose Trump because you feel like he’s not up to the job, there’s absolutely no excuse for getting excited about Biden and feeling like we’ve saved the country because he’s the other choice now. This is a man who can barely remember where he’s at on any given day, and that’s not an exaggeration. He slurs his words constantly (no, it’s not a “stutter”) and mixes up issues, not from ignorance, but from an ability to process what he’s trying to say. And while people will say “but Trump!” in response, anyone with eyes can see the difference. Trump is a fast talking word salad at times, but there’s a difference between not being a good orator (or just being plain unknowledgeable about a subject as Trump sometimes is) and confusing your sister and wife or forgetting what day it is, both things Biden did in the last day. The physical decline is real and it’s being presented to us in flashing lights.

Having a relative whose slide into dementia has been dramatic - I can say it's scary to watch. Initially it can be as simple as tossing the wrong card in a card game or frequently playing out of turn from a man who used to be nigh unto unbeatable. Initially you want to excuse it, but over time you see a man who used to be very engaging become someone who cannot carry much of a conversation and gets confused over simple things, and you MUST conclude they need better care and certainly should never be behind a wheel.

Biden looks like where this man was just two years ago. His collapse may not be like the one I've seen, but it's not going to make him much of a PRESIDENT.

Joe Biden has had 2 Aneurysm's and brain surgery, He has Afib, Either of these conditions can bring on dementia.
Which he certainly appears to have.
Bernie has had a blockage and a heart attack (there is a difference, not everyone with a blockage has a heart attack)

You don't have to take my word Lok it up.

Both are candidate for a coffin, certainly not the Presidency.

WTF are Democrats thinking running these two medically unfit old people for probably the toughest --most pressured job in this country.

What happens at the debates if Bernie works up enough courage to ask Biden about his dementia.

Would that make the SHTF?
Is it an honest question to ask since most every forum I have read has mentioned it.?

Sooner or later Biden is going to have to come up with an answer.

In Biden the decline isn't that noticeable as he was never that smart to begin with.

I dont even think its dementia. Biden had a brain bleed and two pretty invasive surgeries back in the 80s. He is simply missing some pieces of his brain. Until recently, his life was fairly simple and he was able to compensate. The constant movement and onslaught of new events that a campaign brings with it are just too much to process and that is where the misfires happen.

Probably every politician running for president has gotten the town or the state where he gives his stump speech wrong at least once, that's an expected part of the campaign. But Bidens cognitive deficits go deeper than that.

Damned glad to meet you
I really don't think the Dems expect to win, and don't want to damage any of the prospective 2024 candidates. Hillz still may get drafted at a brokered convention, or picked as Biden's VP like GWguy said. Successor to the throne as it were.

I just can't believe democrats would throw Joe out there knowing - or even believing - he might have the onset of dementia. We are all out here looking at this guy and saying something is amiss with him; and democrats aren't doing this? His wife would have to see this better than anyone when they are home together. She would definitely see the signs. And she does nothing?

If Joe has this, and democrats and his wife know it, and still push him out there, I'd have to say there is a special kind of evil in this. And your last point... If Joe has dementia, it will only get worse, and Americans will see it progress. There will be no way of hiding it. Then what?

Trump could make a 2 hour feature film just out of Grandpa Joe's "gaffes". Play them one after the other, and even have to weed some of them out. As it stands, he has enough campaign ad material for any number of spots. Spend the production money on placement and blast them all over the place.

I have no idea what the DNC is thinking, pushing him into the limelight like this.

I think there's a bit of wishful thinking now that they're satisfied with the anti-Bernie candidate they believe has the name recognition to beat Trump.

But how are they going to get past him getting on a debate stage with Donald Trump?

Greetings:

Anyone who thinks Trumpism isn't a cult read this thread again.
Pointing out the fact that your boy Biden is senile makes one a Trump cultist? Interesting. Does not work....but we know you get paid to try..

Odd....where is it that you and the rest of the crew feel holier than Dems?

All those same comments have been made for the past almost 5 years. Yet R's still nominated Trump.

Despite the constant...damn near daily...examples of how unfit Trump is the to be President of the United States, you all still support him to the point of cult like extremism.

Despite all the flubs and outright lies, you all pretend as if nothing ever happened or just rationalize away.

BTW: Loved the comments about Mr.s Biden's...I see you are another one who can't be bothered to look up the definition of hypocrite.

I feel bad for Biden, as I said before I see some of what he does from my mom after she had a stroke. He is a likeable guy and I wish him well, I dont want to see anyone that isn't 100% of a very capable person to have to go through what he will have to in a campaign.
