I hate to say it, but I agree with the liberal press on this one. My bebe mamma and I were discussing this last night and the consensus is that Bush isn't tough enough and doesn't have the stomach to do what needs to be done. And SHE is even more right-wing than I am!
It's not that we CAN'T win the war - it's that Bush is too upset by POWs with panties on their heads. Plus that, he puts too much faith in the Iraqi Governing Council. June 30 is unrealistic - Bush has got a lot of house cleaning to do before he can turn control over to those crooks.

Its the "we have to be nice and PC and can't bomb the mosques where they are shooting at us from" namby pamby rules of engagement that have created a quagmire.

Vrai and czygvtwkr, I think you guys have the right answer. I was watching Fox this morning and they presented several polls. Two of them were "who would do a better job in Iraq?" and "are we doing a good job in Iraq?" Bush handily beat out Kerry for the first one. The second one showed that most Americans don't think we're doing a good job in Iraq. The anchor said he couldn't make sense of it...I can. Most people think we should take the gloves off and despite Bush being weaker than they want, they see Kerry as being even weaker.
