A couple of them that looked REAL bad, fatal even, the riders walked away due to the riding gear they were wearing..Foxhound said:Nice video. Wish I could read german. I guess the point is there regaurdless. I don't know if it was planned, but seems like a lot of sport bikes. No matter what we ride we are vunerable.

Thank you for that, I wish everyone was like that. Too many bikers getting hurt lately.

Me, too, because a lot of them are unpredictable and and not paying as much attention as you should when you're going 80 miles an hour and completely exposed.Hello6 said:I ALWAYS give bikers, bicyclists extra room and look out for them while driving.
Feel free to allow a normal amount of space at stop lights. We're not moving. If we just fall over you won't run over us.Hello6 said:I ALWAYS give bikers, bicyclists extra room and look out for them while driving.

I was at my folks place in VA a couple of years ago and was stopped at a light. Bike wouldn't trip the sensors on the road, a "No Right On Red" sign and a cop sitting in a parking lot next to the intersection. Little old lady stops 15 yards behind me and isn't over the sensors. After about 15 minutes traffic was lining up, blowing their horns and she finally moved up a few feet and tripped the light...
 I'd rather have that happen with a person 5 ft behind me instead of 30 ft. Less time to build up her speed.Larry Gude said:And then her foot slipped in a nervous twitch, being so close to a bike, hit the gas, rammed you out into the intersection and sent you, face first, into an oncoming truck that,

Like Uncle Ben said to Spiderman "With great power comes great responsibility"Larry Gude said:...a joke where I probably shouldn't. Seems every time I go out, I see a biker almost kill himself or get killed.
Sorry.

I agree, many of the snippets were bike riders doing stupid things. You can't fault cars for bike riders hot rodding around and putting themselves in greater danger.Larry Gude said:...what? Most of that video was of bikers going too fast and losing control. Some of the accidents where cars are running lights or stop signs might also have been avoided had the biker been going a bit slower or a bit more cautious. For sure, there are plenty where the biker did nothing wrong and couldn't have done anything to avoid it and every biker in this forum will tell you that there is pretty much something they had a chance to get killed every single time they ride; deer, cars, debris, you name it.
You get on a bike you are exposing your body to forces it cannot withstand and bikes are not designed, can not be designed, to help protect you.
That is both the pure joy of riding and the danger.
ALL bikes have a great power to weight ratio. Mine is about 6 lbs per each hp.Larry Gude said:...that's deep.
