This breaks my heart. Look at his face! Can anyone donate? I wish I could. :bawl:

Second Hope Rescue (a 501-c-3 operating in Southern Maryland) recently rescued Noah from the Tri-County Animal Shelter (a kill shelter) in Hughesville. Noah is a loving and cute lab that is suffering from Liver Shunt Disease, a disease that often ends the life of a dog shortly after diagnosis. Noah is only a year old.
An awesome donor has volunteered to cover the entire surgical cost ($4500-$8000) for Noah at the University of Pennsylvania Vet Hospital. But Second Hope Rescue now needs to raise the funds for the CT Scan which will let them know if he is a candidate for this surgery or not.

I donated to poor Noah. Hopefully he can get his CT scan and the treatment. I sure wish I could take him, but, too much going on right now to be able to give him the home he'll need. Good Luck Noah!!

Thank You All. The CT Scan Is Being Done At The University Of PA AndItWasTheSurgeonThatTold Me What He Needed. The CT Scan Will Also Tell Them If He Needs A Special Ordered Size And Will Tell Us If He Is Currently Healthy Enough For The Surgery.

I just donated to bring it to the 1,500.00 mark.. I have fostered 2 pits from Second Hope and also volunteered with them. One of our fosters was adopted and the other one we kept. Our Havoc knows what it is like to be on death row with medical issues! Good Luck Noah! :buddies:

Noah has his CT Scan on the 9th of August at the Univ of PA. This will tell us if he can have the coil embolization surgery or if we have to do the more invasive surgery. The coil embolization has a higher mortality rate so I am really hoping that he qualifies for it. Thank you all for your care and donations! I'll update after the 9th.
