Restaurant Week

Anyone else playing? We have been, with mixed reviews. So far we've been to 2 places, Spinnaker's and Morris Point. Of the two Morris Point was definitely the winner. At Spinnaker's not only did the waitress not know what Restaurant Week was but she rolled her eyes, shook her head, and mumbled under her breath as she walked away from the table. I'll admit waitressing for the group I was with can be a little unnerving but please, save your eye-rolling until you get to the kitchen. :smack:

The friends we were with didn't fare much better when they went out alone (see bulldog's review of Rustic River).

Seriously, is it too much to ask that if your restaurant is going to advertise as one of Restaurant Week's featured places that your staff be aware of that? And maybe even know which of your menu items is the one advertised online?

Kudos to Morris Point for scoring on both of those! That the staff and owners were friendly and the food was good was just icing on the cake.

Food was great, waitress knew about Restaurant Week AND there was a table tent outlining the rewards program.

Blue Wind
They're all over it. :yay:

True, your hubby and my wife can be a little edgy. Good thing that you and I know our manners and how to behave in public.
