I did read the commentary again.... but let's face it... John didn't know about Israel, Iraq, and Iran fighting each other. John didn't know about China and Russia. John only knew the history of his day. John was given a description he could only pass along. John didn't know about the Nuclear Weapons.I googled Nuclear Weapons by Country 2022.... and there's a list.... ONLY NINE countries are on the list.... and Iraq is not on the list.... yet!
Since forever I have had this notion that the reason the Ark of the Covenant caused anyone who touched it to die.... is because it was the stuff of nuclear weapons of the future. I take comfort in the fact He put them in the hands of a people who were really afraid of Him so He could control who gets it. And yep... the Ark of the Covenant is missing.... which means nuclear power is in the hands of people who really don't know how to control it.
Now consider verse 14.... they will wage war against the Lamb.... is that meaning they will wage war against the Christian nations? Well... North Korea is puffing off a little nuclear rhetoric.... and according to the latest news.... Russia and the US have pulled out their nuclear arms information "just in case".
God created nuclear power.... oh boy did He create it..... and God knows how to use nuclear power.... oh boy does He know how to use it. Jesus watched His Father during all this creation. John told us in the beginning of his Gospel that Jesus was by God's side during all of creation. Jesus knows how to use nuclear power better than anyone.... and He's coming with faithful troops.... to back Him up. Jesus will triumph..... maybe Jesus and His crew will make everyone put down their weapons "before someone gets hurt".
There are currently NINE countries with nuclear weapons.... and the Tenth.... well we don't have a peace treaty with them anymore.... they say it won't be long before they figure it out.
Does Iran equal ten?
