Revelation 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“‘Come out of her, my people,’[b]
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
5 for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
6 Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back double for what she has done.
Pour her a double portion from her own cup.
7 Give her as much torment and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts,
‘I sit enthroned as queen.
I am not a widow;[c]
I will never mourn.’
8 Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.
I don't know how Hubby puts up with me... I come up with the weirdest stuff to complain about.There's a Medicare Advantage commercial that just drives me nuts. One of the women says "I called to get everything I deserve". Oh how in the world did she survive getting everything she deserves? I don't deserve one iota of what I have been gifted in life. And on the flip side.... If God gave me all I really deserve... well I'd be dead. Why do people think they "deserve" anything?
These verses tell me there will come a time when exclusivity will dominate. The beast will mark us.... without the mark we will not be able to do business.
These verses aren't just about working on Sunday.... these verses are about putting life in front of God.
There will come a day, just like the one that happened to Lot in Sodom, when God will say.... "Run" or "Come".... and we better not hesitate.... because we will suffer like Lot's wife.
