Revelation 19:9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

In chapter 18 and through the first 9 verses of chapter 19, the humans who don't believe in God are crying over the fall of the established government and that time those in Heaven are cheering. Now an angel is once again interpreting what John is seeing.

It amazes me that after everything John has seen in these visions, and yet he would still fall at the feet of an angel in worship. Humans never learn do they?

One of the commentaries says this about verse 10.

The angel tells John to “worship God” only. Angels and prophets are both created beings, servants of God trusted with a common task, to bring prophecy, called here “the testimony of Jesus,” to mankind.

We should all put God first. My dad use to tell me.... "Here's how it happens.... God, family, country.... that's how you set your priorities.
